A fin... I see a fin!!!

I pulled Mermaid of the pearls off the stand tonight for two reasons:
1. I actually wanted to make some decent progress on her fin and 2 handed stitching at this stage is SLOW for me
and 2. my mad cat was using the stand for target practice. I caught him leaping up and clawing the fabric. BAD CAT!!!
So anyway, here she is:

Her fin in real life is actually quite pale. For some reason it photographs really brightly.

The first photos... so my stitching on a frame with two hands is a slow process... so I don't have a lot to show for it, but here are my first photos:

I guess one advantage is I can clip the pattern next to where I am stitching with a peg... must go make some working copies tomorrow though!

The colours aren't exactly what I expected from looking at the picture on the front until I peer at it really closely!

Mermaid of the Pearls Floss toss

I am starting another mermaid while I wait for the floss for Waiting For Ships to arrive... Only got a few stitches in, so no photos of the stitching, but here is my floss toss...

An obsession...

Stitching is a hobby. I love it. I am trying to find a blog format I like, so I thought I would do a secondary blog here.... So if you have seen exactly the same posts elsewhere, then that's why...

I started stitching approximately 19 years. I think part of the reason I started was seeing Mirabilia's Titania pattern. I really loved her and started stitching. I have never actually stitched her yet, but I finally bought the pattern after such a long time!!!

In the meanwhile, I have stitched two Mirabilias- Mermaids of the Deep Blue and Stargazer.

I stitch a range of things, and love Ink Circles, Rosewood Manor and all sorts of designers...
